Job Description:

As an Application Engineer, you will be an Application deployment expert who is responsible for architecting, deploying and configuring AppDynamics products. Attaining the professional services revenue goals of the engineering team by demonstrating sound decision making, disciplined technical execution and domain expertise, and a relentless focus on customer experience will be critical to your position. Kinney Group will invest in training and development
for team members to remain current in new technology and tools, which serve our current and future commercial and Federal customers.

Essential Functions:
● Create profiles of different user groups
● Create mission partner approach/strategy to target mission apps
● Train other resources Advanced AppD configuration techniques
● Review each application gather agent and deployment requirements
● Create custom dashboards and business rules/alerts
● Analyze application services
● Determine gaps in APM visibility
● Machine agent deployment/support for servers and databases

Required Skills & Experience:
● 5+ years of relevant technical experience as technical Consultant for an enterprise software company or for a recognized consultancy firm
● 4+ years experience in DevOps, IT consulting, system administration and/or APM
● Expert, hand-on experience (3+ years) in at least three of the following technical domains
Java (J2EE) or .NET
Virtualization and/or Containerization
Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, etc)
Application Performance Management
IT Operations (NOC or similar)
Application Infrastructure domains (OS, Databases, Servers, etc)
Application Development
Experience with JavaScript (JQuery, Dojo, AngularJS, etc)
SDLC practices including Agile practices, DevOps and CI/CD strategies
● Understanding of the application performance management space with hands on experience on AppDynamics or competing product
● Excellent customer interaction and presentation skills (ability to clearly articulate to different audiences and bring the message across in a concise, professional manner)
● Ability to influence and persuade at all level and gain a ‘Trusted Advisor’ status with key stakeholders
● Possess an active TS/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Poly Desired Skills and Experience
● Bachelor’s degree preferred in a technical discipline
● Knowledge in one or more of the following monitoring tools: New Relic, AppDynamics, Foglight, Dynatrace, SteelCentral, Compuware APM, or BMC Software APM
